Julie Boring

CPA

Julie’s career with Boring, Richard & Associates LLC began in 1987 as a certified public accountant.  She graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs.  Julie specializes in tax (individual, corporate and partnerships), financial, payroll, advisory services and is QuickBooks Certified.    

Julie and her husband Rod live in Versailles, OH where they enjoy spending time with their family.

 

Jon Richard

CPA

Jon began his time at Boring, Richard & Associates in 2015. A graduate of Versailles High School, he received his Bachelor’s degree from Xavier University in 2013, obtained his CPA licensing in 2018 and is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs. While at Xavier, Jon enjoyed playing for the Xavier baseball team from 2009-2013.

At the firm, Jon specializes in individual, corporate and partnership tax, tax planning, payroll, and financial statement preparation, as well as advisory services.

Jon lives in Versailles, OH with his wife Karen and their children Cecilia, Meredith, Leo, Floyd and Eleanor. He enjoys spending time with family, boating, golfing and many other athletic activities.

 

Craig Meyer

CPA

Craig began his time at Boring, Richard & Associates in June, 2020. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Wright State University and has had his CPA license for over 30 years. At the firm, Craig specializes in tax, tax planning, payroll and financial statement preparation.  He also provides advisory services. 

Craig lives in New Bremen, OH with his wife. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and friends.

 

Sharon Barga

Professional Staff

Sharon’s time with Boring, Richard & Associates began 30 years ago working on basic secretarial duties.  As time passed, she progressed from her secretarial duties to helping with payroll processing and checking income tax returns.  This was at a time when all of these processes were done manually!  Today Sharon does the filing of the Commercial Activity Tax returns, processes payrolls, and administers the Village of Bradford income tax filings, as well as checking income tax returns.

Sharon lives in Versailles with her husband Tim.  Together they have two children, Shanan and Adam (Katie), and three grandchildren, Emma, Leo and Owen.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports and shopping.

 

Kelly Kerg

Professional Staff

Kelly joined the Boring, Richard & Associates team in 2005 as a staff accountant.  She has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Tiffin University and has spent her career in the accounting field.  At Boring, Richard & Associates, Kelly specializes in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, preparing corporate and partnership returns and compiling the non-profit returns for the firm. 

Kelly lives in Troy, OH with her husband Dave and their twins, Carly & Isaac.  She enjoys playing tennis and family time, including watching Carly ride horses for equestrian therapy and watching Isaac play soccer.  She also likes spending time with her pets Arlo, a golden retriever and Nala, a calico cat. 

 

Charity Barnes

Professional Staff

Charity joined Boring, Richard & Associates in January of 2019 as an intern and upon completion of the internship, she transitioned to a staff accountant.  She brings with her a Master of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Liberty University as well as an Associates of Applied Business in Accounting from Edison State Community College.  Her specialties in our firm include: individual, corporate, and partnership tax preparation; live and after fact payroll processing; financial statement preparation; and Commercial Activity Tax preparation.

Charity resides in Ansonia Ohio.  In her spare time, Charity enjoys spending time with her family and pets, reading, traveling and listening to music.

 

Jace Barga

Professional Staff

In August, 2019, Jace became a member of the Boring Richard and Associates team.  He brings with him B.S. degree in Finance from Wittenberg University where he graduated in 2019.  While at the firm, Jace specializes in tax preparation, 1099 tax forms, payroll, financial statements and filing sales tax. 

Jace resides in Versailles, OH.  During his spare time, he enjoys golfing, playing slow pitch softball, bowling and spending time with friends.

Paige Berning

Professional Staff

Paige began her work at Boring, Richard & Associates in August, 2019 and brings with her a B.S. in Accounting from Wright State University.  At the firm, she specializes in tax preparation, payroll processing and financial statement preparation.

Paige lives in Versailles with her husband Brendon, their son Owen, and their dog Coco.  When she isn’t at work, she enjoys crafting, bowling, walking, outdoor activities, and spending time with her family and friends.

 

Peg Richard

Payroll Specialist

Peg’s tenure with Boring, Richard & Associates began in 2014. Peg’s primary focus with the firm is in the Buckeye Payroll branch where she processes payrolls, and works closely with clients to meet their business needs.  She is also instrumental in reviewing income tax filings during tax season.

Peg lives in Versailles, Ohio with her husband Mark.  She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as extended family.

 

Connie Giere

Payroll Specialist

Connie actually worked for the Boring, Richard and Associates team during tax seasons as a receptionist from 2006-2011 before joining our Buckeye Payroll group full time in June of 2019 as one of our Payroll Specialists. She specializes in processing payrolls and is our resident payroll portal expert.

Connie and her husband Gary reside outside Versailles, OH where they have owned and operated the Cottonwood Lakes Campground for the last 25 years.  They have 3 grown sons and 2 grandsons.  In her free time, Connie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

Monica Fledderjohann

Payroll Specialist

Monica joined the Boring, Richard and Associates team in June, 2020 and is one of our specialists.  She joins the firm with more than 19 years of experience in tax preparation and payroll services. With that background, her specialties at Boring, Richard & Associates and Buckeye Payroll include payroll processing, individual tax return preparation, and other tax filings.

Monica resides in New Bremen, OH with her husband Andy and their two children, Jessica and Adam.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, gardening and watching her children’s various activities. 

 

Gwenn Barga

Administrative Services

Gwenn’s role at Boring, Richard & Associates is that of an Administrative Assistant, and she joined the firm in August of 2016. Gwenn is a graduate of Versailles High School and has both a B.S. and M.S. degree from the University of Dayton.  Her specialties at Boring, Richard and Associates include customer service, answering and directing phone calls, welcoming clients and visitors to the office, scheduling appointments, organizing files, processing payments, tax preparation, bank reconciliations, sales & use tax returns, unclaimed funds, and assistance with various projects.

Gwenn resides in North Star, OH with her husband Michael and their seven children.  Her interests include cooking, reading, outdoor activities, and attending sporting events with her family.

 

Jill Steinbrunner

Administrative Services

Jill is an Administrative Assistant and joined the Boring, Richard & Associates team in August, 2016 after more than 15 years of procurement work in the automotive industry.  Her education includes graduating from Versailles High School and obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing as well as a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Wright State University.  Jill’s specialties at the firm include customer service, BWC filings and updates, bank reconciliations, electronic filing of tax returns and other various projects as needed.

Jill resides in Versailles, OH with her husband Lance and their three children Will, Chloe and Joel.  In her spare time, she is a National Parks enthusiast who enjoys hiking, traveling, baking, reading and watching her kids participate in various activities.

 

Becky Pohlman

Administrative Services

Becky began her part time position in Administrative Services at Boring, Richard & Associates back in 2017.  With a Bachelor of Science degree from Wright State University, she spent years in the environmental field before making her way to her current position. At the firm, Becky specializes in payroll processing, compiling tax information and administrative duties as requested.

Becky resides in Versailles, OH with her husband Henry.  They share two grown children as well as four grandchildren.  Outside of work, her interests include reading, walking, and her favorite – time with the grandchildren!
